Detailed introduction

The BIA series mechanical seals represent a classic single-face, unbalanced sealing design specifically engineered for applications involving clean water, wastewater, and moderately corrosive media. With their compact structure and stable performance, these seals are well-suited for industrial pump equipment across a wide range of industries, making them a cost-effective sealing solution.
✅ Core Parameters and Performance
Operating parameters: Pressure ≤ 1.0 MPa (some specifications reach 1.6 MPa); temperature -20℃ to 180℃ (some specifications reach 230℃); linear velocity ≤ 15 m/s (some specifications ≤ 10 m/s); axial runout ±1.0 mm.
Corrosion- and wear-resistant materials: The friction pair can be configured with either silicon carbide/graphite or tungsten carbide/tungsten carbide combinations, while the substrate is made of stainless steel. It is resistant to water, oils, acids, alkalis, salts, organic solvents, and particulate-containing media with a solid content of ≤5%.
High reliability and low leakage: Ingeniously designed to suit continuous operation, featuring stable performance with no failures and low leakage levels that meet environmental protection requirements.
✅ Structural features
Single-face unbalanced type: simple structure, cost-controlled, perfectly suited for medium- and low-pressure operating conditions.
Rubber bellows transmission: The tight fit between the bellows and the shaft drives the rotating ring to turn, eliminating the need for additional transmission components and significantly simplifying the structure.
Arbitrary rotation direction design: Compatible with both forward and reverse rotation of the device, installation is free of directional restrictions, and assembly is convenient and efficient.
Modular design: Easy to disassemble and maintain, reducing later operation and maintenance costs.
✅ Applicable scenarios
Typical media: Clear water, sewage, oils, acid-alkali-salt solutions, organic solvents, and particle-containing media with a solid content ≤ 5%.
Covered industries: Chemical industry—acid, alkali, and salt slurry transfer pumps; water treatment industry—clear water pumps, sewage pumps, and submersible pumps; water supply and drainage equipment for power, hydraulic, and steel industries; high-fiber and high-viscosity medium handling equipment for papermaking, coal chemical, fertilizer, and aluminum production industries.
🔥 Preferred Sealing Solutions for Medium- and Low-Pressure Applications
The BIA series mechanical seals, leveraging the unique advantages of bellows-driven transmission, strike a perfect balance between practicality and cost-effectiveness, making them ideally suited to meet the sealing requirements—both routine and complex—for a wide range of industries, thereby ensuring the stable operation of industrial equipment.
